Easter in Buffalo

We used our three-day weekend to meet up with Ron, Mom, and Nate in Buffalo. Other than seeing Niagara Falls, we knew it would be a great opportunity to explore our new home state. It was a great weekend for hiking and eating!

On Friday night we ate at Anchor Bar - the Home of the Original Buffalo Chicken Wings. They were DELICIOUS! I didn't take any other pictures of food... We were a little too busy eating and drinking. Buffalo Brew Pub had great food, as well. 

You can tell we were more interested in eating, than picture-taking.

That would be Amit with a half-eaten tray of 50 wings.

After hiking on Saturday, we stopped for lunch in a small town near Letchworth State Park. After our delicious lunch, we stopped to do some antiquing. I hit the JACKPOT!!! I've always wanted a vintage school desk, like Mom's, but haven't found one that I liked or that was affordable enough for us. At the first shop we stopped at, we found this cute little Sears & Roebuck desk for $27. After debating whether or not to get it, Amit went up to the owner and said we wanted it. (Isn't he the best???) It turns out, the owner's father had gone to the Catholic school in town and they had found 30 of these desks in the basement. This was the last one!

Today was actually National Cherish an Antique Day. I definitely will cherish mine... I'm thinking of repainting the legs and possibly restaining the wood, but I'm not quite sure. All I know is that it's awesome! We had a great time in Buffalo. More pictures to come, so stay tuned!

Happy April Fools Day!

Aka... Happy Birthday to Krissy! And Happy Birthday (2 days late) to Dylan!

In honor of both of your birthdays, Amit and I bought cupcakes from Treat on Friday. Sprinkle Me Silly, with funfetti batter for me. Caramel Delight (now called Samoas) for Amit, he loves Girl Scout cookies.

I actually meant the cupcakes, but yes, that is Amit and Emma attempting to kiss right in front of my cupcakes! Don't ask me why they were kissing, I'm just impressed with my photography skills. (Don't worry- they did not actually kiss, they just got very close.) Happy April!

We are six weeks away from graduation now... Are you ready for it?? We are! I thought I'd give you a taste of what's to come the weekend of May 18th...

I'd be intimidated if I was a cavity. Thankfully I have "super cavity-fighting" teeth thanks to some good genes! That's probably his biggest disappointment from the last four years - he never got to drill my teeth! (Can we all pray that never happens? I think he's a good dentist and all that, but I doubt he'd be as good with me squeezing his hand out of fear.)

Last thing on my graduation prep list for this week? Invitations. Let's hope they turn out as well as I hoped!

March Snapshots

It's hard to believe that it's halfway through March and we have yet to do anything really exciting. I guess we have school and the boards to thank for that. I have been super busy with schoolwork, so I am ready for us to do something fun for a change.

Well, until I can actually take a breather from schoolwork and have a little adventure (stay tuned - it will be Easter weekend), here are some pictures from around the house.
