Moving Day

It's that wonderful time again. All the packing, cleaning, organizing, and moving. Yuck.

Tomorrow is moving day... Hopefully we're ready for it. Guess we'll be finding out tomorrow.

Check out our lovely pile of boxes. There are still more. I think they cover pretty much every part of our apartment.
We'll fill you in on details and post pictures later in the week. (Once we get some unpacking done.)

Boston Adventures - Part 2

Otherwise known as Fun Family Day on the Cape. I can't think of too many other people we'd rather have spent our first day at the Cape with either. So we headed down to Wellfleet on Saturday morning to show our visitors just how we like to spend our free time.

When we got to the beach it was late morning and rather foggy. We didn't let it get our spirits down, though. We were ready for some fun!
We had to get down some large sand dunes to get to the beach.
Thank goodness the boys carried the cooler down!

Check out that fog!
Everyone was super excited for beach time!
I had seen this cute photo in one of my magazines and decided
to take advantage of my fabulous Krissy and try it out.
After several attempts it finally worked!
Of course I had to get some personal photos in...
While we hung out by the water,
Bruce and Tricia napped.
While walking down the beach,
we saw some seals swimming around in the water!
Amit ran all the way back to our stuff to grab the camera.
The view down the beach was gorgeous.
Tricia and Krissy walking along the coast.
After spending an enjoyable afternoon by the water, we headed to a delicious lunch with a fabulous view of Wellfleet Harbor. (Totally forgot to take a picture of it, of course.)
On Sunday, before they headed on the last leg of their road trip, we headed to Fenway since the boys of course had to see all the big sports places. We ordered some appetizers at The Bleacher Bar and enjoyed the view of the field.
The view out the window
Krissy looking thrilled to be at yet another sports destination.
Happy to be with family.
We had a great visit with the family. It was great to show them what we love about the East Coast and catch up on all the late night talks we've missed over the past year.
Thanks for coming out, you guys, we loved having you here!!

Boston Adventures - Part 1

We have spent the last couple weeks getting spoiled by family. This weekend Bruce, Tricia, and the kids survived a road trip out east to spend the weekend with us in Boston! It was a fun weekend spent showing them our favorite Boston standards, along with some new experiences for all of us!

When they got here on Friday, we headed downtown to check out the top spots. Quincy Market, Fenuil Hall, the North End, Mike's Pastries, the Old North Church. Of course we added a few twists of our own...
While the boys had a beer at the Cheers bar,
us girls decided to have some fun at Build A Bear.
I love how my Krissy traditions haven't stopped even though we live so far apart!
It started drizzling a bit,
so we figured we should hurry over to the North End.
Boy were we crazy.
After stopping at Mike's it started pouring!
Do we look wet enough for ya?
Since we were so close to the Old North Church,
we stopped there and then headed back to our hotel.
By the time we got home, we (and our bears) were soaked!
(Yes, those are bears in lobster outfits!)
We cleaned ourselves up and headed to dinner.
Amit and I love the ambience of the Summer Shack,
so it was a great place for a welcoming meal.
Bruce brought along a special guest, too.
After all that walking in the rain,
everyone was HUNGRY!
Thank goodness we had plenty of food.
(and salad for Matt)
Amit even showed Mike how to peel his shrimp!
With Bruce and Tricia's guidance (and taste in food),
we bravely tried our first oysters.
They were really good (even with all the stuff Bruce put on top)!!
I will post the photos of me eating it, once I get it from Tricia.
Sorry all, but you know how I love to get pictures of my food.
Obviously its not all MY food, but here it is anyway...
Stay tuned for the second part of our fabulous adventure...

Family Fun in Chicago

Sorry for the lack of posting... These last few weekends have been crazy!!

So a couple weekends ago we flew to Chicago for my cousin's wedding. Since it had been two months since the last time we hung out with the family, we were super excited to hang out. Unfortunately it was a super quick visit. We were in town for less than 48 hours, but we still enjoyed the little time we had. (Let's just say everyone needs to come visit, SOON!)

Here are a few of the highlights from the wedding. (Surprisingly, after gorging on a Portillo's lunch, we still fit into our dress clothes!)

1 - Country sing-a-long in the car
on the way to the wedding
2 - Amit's seersucker suit
(turns psychedelic in pictures)
3 - Photoshoots with the boys
First, trying to be serious
Second, actually being serious
4 -Crazy photo fun
5 - Fabulous looking families
Then the real party began... with some crazy picture taking.
I love my boys!
And I love me some cousin time!
Amit went as a New Englander...
looks like Nate was a mobster.
When the dancing started,
so did the crazy pictures.
The weekend went by way too quickly, but it was so much fun! Thanks to everyone for the fabulous, fast visit!
